Healing a Damaged Soul by Hank's Lady

Healing a Damaged Soul by Hank's Lady

When Bella breaks his heart, Jacob doesn't know what to do. His heartbreak is compounded when he discovers Bella left him for rich kid, Edward Cullen. Jake wants to make his life hell because he believes Edward is cause for the demise of his relationship.

Along the way, Jake discovers that his relationship with Bella wasn't all it was cracked up to be. She's selfish, manipulative and just an all-around bad person. Knowing he's better off, he lets Bella go once and for all and discovers he has 'other' tastes when it comes to romance. When Bella dumps Edward in a very public and humiliating way, Jake turns out to be Edward's unlikely hero.

Healing a Damaged Soul is an emotional ride that will make you want to reach through the computer and comfort both Jake and Edward. My heart broke for both of them, but I have a feeling there are some good times ahead for this pair. *wink wink*

Book Review: Ethan, Who Loved Carter by Ryan Loveless

When Carter Stevenson moved to a small California town after living in L.A., he was trying to get away from people and their judgement. Dealing with Tourette Syndrome isn't easy when people don't understand and ridicule cruelly. After seeing his new neighbor, Ethan Hart, for the first time, he is immediately drawn to him. However, Ethan is dealing with his own hindrances as well. Ten years prior, he was in an accident and suffered severe brain damage. He had to learn how to do everything all over again from scratch. Even though he walks with a limp and has trouble focusing, he has a heart of gold and an immensely positive outlook on life.

Brought together by their disabilities, Ethan and Carter develop a beautiful relationship that will warm your heart.

I absolutely loved this story. Within the first few pages, I fell in love with the characters. Their joy was my joy and their sadness and frustration broke my heart. Ryan Loveless created two beautiful and complex characters I'm so glad I got to know. This is one book I know I'll read again in the future not only because of the life lessons it teaches, but because it shows the deep, unwavering love between two flawed, yet incredibly strong and brave men.

Dawn Rising by BeCullen

Dawn Rising by BeCullen - COMPLETE

In the midst of a zombie apolcalypse, Daryl Dixon thinks fondly on the relationship that has grown with the man lying next to him. He didn't mean for this unlikely relationship with Glenn to start, but he's so glad it did. Even with all the chaos, naysayers and judging he receives from the rest of the group, no one will dampen his affection for man in his arms.

I almost did a double take when this story showed up in my inbox. Although it's pretty short, it reveals quite a lot. The Walking Dead is one of my favorite shows and Daryl Dixon, in my opinion, is the breakout character. He is such a badass and is easily my favorite.

Please check out this story with its unlikely pairing. I assure it will bring a smile to your face! :)

Welcome!

Slash has to be the BEST fanfiction genre out there! If you're not reading it, you're missing out!!!

Did I get your attention? Good.

I decided to start this blog as a way to highlight some of the great slash fanfiction out there today. I do not discriminate when it comes to pairings or fandoms. Even though a majority of my reviews will be Twislash, please don't let that deter you. I plan on featuring stories from The Walking Dead, Harry Potter and Queer as Folk fandoms, just to name a few.

In addition to reviews, I will also bring attention to contests as well as some of the incredible m/m books I've read.

Slashsessed a place for you to relax, discover and enjoy without fear of being judged. We're all family here and I hope you will also share your favorites stories and books, experiences and suggestions with me from time to time.

I have to say a BIG thank you to Jules Meghan (aka Yulliah) for creating the beautiful banner at the top of the page. If you haven't seen her work, check it out!

Take care!
